Excellence Playa Mujeres Mexico – Part I

We now take a break from our regularly scheduled bar-hopping to do a feature on our honeymoon and one of the fabulous cocktails we discovered while there! Enjoy

The Drink

Eric’s Drink of Choice: Iceburg 
Ingredients: Corona with a frozen margarita floated on top
Cost: All inclusive resort!

Review: So I had done a ton of research on the Excellence Playa Mujeres using TripAdvisor, and no less than half of the reviews raved about these “Iceberg Drinks”. I must have spent a good three months talking about how excited I was to try the Icebergs, and sure enough, within our first four hours at the resort I had one in my hand. Miguel first poured the Corona, filling the glass about 2/3 full and chatting with us the entire time. Then he went to work on the frozen margarita, and since the resort was all-inclusive, allowed me to say “When!” when it came to the tequilla. The result was probably the most refreshing beer concoction that I’ve ever ingested, and it stayed cold FOREVER (very important in the hot Mexican sun)! This is also the kind of drink you can drink all day, except for when Miguel “loads” the Iceburg by floating more top-shelf tequilla on top…
